Questions Not
all hard for the Seniors and easy for the Primary
Minimum 33 different
questions per monthly text material Allows for alternate and State competition
20 for monthly
competition, 5 for alternates, 8 to be kept for State Final. (38-40 when there are multiple
writers to cover duplicate/similar questions)
Questions reviewed
by a second person Final Editor and/or the State Question Master
The Senior Question
Master has the FINAL decision on questions that are used
No humorous
questions or answers
Questions are to be
taken directly from NIV text (1984 edition)
Questions have only
1 correct answer
Choices should be plausible
Questions only from
text for that competition
Try to cover all
chapters evenly
Questions should
cover overall concept of material and be pertinent to our Christian beliefs
Questions should not
involve doing math
Avoid focusing on
who did not do something or events that did not happen
All questions should
include Chapter and Verse Used only for reference
Editors try to
maintain Questions in original format when possible
Editors should
submit their comments and/or changes at least 1 week before competition
Questions submitted
to the Senior Question Master/editors a minimum of 2 weeks before competition
No duplication of
questions with other divisions
State Final
